Training schedule

CSC meets for regular training  Tuesdays and Saturdays at  7:30 p.m.

If you wish to visit the club, it is best to call a club contact ahead of time to ensure the club is meeting on its regular schedule and to discuss the club's rules about bringing dogs to the training grounds, proper equipment, and other questions you may have about the club.  We always welcome visitors and prospective new members at Chattahoochee Schutzhund Club!

CSC
Club Membership

Chattahoochee Schutzhund Club members take our training sessions and membership responsibilities seriously.

The club's purpose is to be an all-breed schutzhund club, training handler-dog teams to achieve their goals, attain Schutzhund titles, and compete in local, regional, national, and international events,  all while working together  in a fun, friendly, and family-oriented environment.

We have a simple membership process.  By following it, we have been consistently able to meet our club’s goal.

Membership Process:

(1)  Attend up to three club training sessions prior to submitting a membership application.  The purpose of these three sessions is for the prospective applicant to evaluate “club life,” for the club to evaluate the prospective member's dog for suitability to be trained in schutzhund, and for the club to evaluate you as a perspective member.  The evaluation of your dog may occur after all full-member and probationary-member dogs are trained during that session.

(2)  Fill out the membership application (CSC Membership Application) and pay the non-refundable initiation/application fee of $60.00 and the pro-rated amount for field dues.
Field dues are: Single Membership $150; Family Membership $225. They are due annually on Jan. 1.

Submit your application, initiation/application fee, and field dues to any CSC board member at a club training session to start your probationary membership.  Probationary members do not have voting privileges and may have their dog trained in protection after all full-status members dogs have been trained.  The probationary period lasts at least three months from the date of your application.

(3)  Regularly attend club training sessions with your dog.

(4)   If the dog-handler team is deemed by vote of the CSC board to be suitable for full-status membership, you will be granted the privileges of a full member.

(5)  To be a member of the CSC, you must be a member of the United Schutzhund Clubs of America (USA). If you already are member of USA, please provide your USA membership number on your CSC membership application.  If you are  not, please visit the USA webpage (www.germanshepherddog.com) and submit an
application for membership to USA.  You will remain a probationary CSC member until you attain membership in  USA.
